Hairball-control formula
Description
A dry food formulated with increased dietary fiber (often a specific blend rather than just any high-fiber source) intended to help move ingested hair through the digestive tract and out in stool rather than accumulating into a hairball vomited back up, alongside supporting healthy coat condition to somewhat reduce shedding and the amount of hair ingested during grooming in the first place.
Suitable For
Adult cats with a genuine pattern of frequent hairballs, particularly long-haired breeds or cats that groom themselves unusually often (sometimes itself a sign of stress or a skin issue worth mentioning to a vet separately, not just something to feed around).
Cautions
Occasional hairballs are normal cat behavior and don't necessarily need a dedicated formula; genuinely frequent hairballs (more than roughly once a week) or any hairball accompanied by repeated unproductive retching, lethargy, or reduced appetite warrant a veterinary visit to rule out a genuine digestive issue, since this formula addresses a symptom and isn't a substitute for that evaluation when something else might actually be going on.
